For years BlackBerry is known as a capable business handset, that is until they released BlackBerry Curve 8520. New features added to the BlackBerry Curve 8520 are the dedicated music buttons and more affordable price tag. This means BlackBerry is trying to approach new target market of young teens, especially around Asia and Europe.
The BlackBerry Curve 8520 is not a handset to underestimate at all. Add BlackBerry Internet Service plan to the mix, and you have a handset that keeps you connected at all times. You wouldn’t even have to worry about quota or limit at all because the BlackBerry Internet Service comes with unlimited data usage limit.
The trackpad navigation is superbly responsive and very easy to use, which means you can easily access features and menu using your thumb. This device also includes a QWERTY keypad that is very easy to use, perfect for sending text messages and emails.
The screen, 2.46″ 65K-color TFT landscape display offering QVGA resolution, is crisp and vivid. Playing multimedia files and seeing pictures is very easy to do with the screen being so clear. You can also find a rather sufficient 2-megapixel camera ready to be used to snap casual pictures; don’t expect high quality images though, the camera is just an added feature on the BlackBerry Curve 8520.
All in all, this device is a good all-round mobile phone to get. If you love the fact that you can stay connected 24/7, this is indeed the right handset for you.
